GUYMASTER Release Notes For version 4.0.0 as of November 14, 2012 The current revision of GUYMASTER contains new features of two types: 1. New standards; and 2. New convenience. NEW STANDARDS: 1. CAN/CSA-S37-12 (Canada). 2. IS-875 (India). NEW CONVENIENCE: 1. GUYMASTER will now read data from ERITower and RISATower project files for a quick analysis in GUYMASTER. 2. GUYMASTER will now accept tower elements, which are defined as latticed elements in the new LATTICED ELEMENTS table. These are defined in the same way as in MAST GEOMETRY and referenced in the LATTICE MAST MATERIALS table the same way that other materials are referenced. 3. Linear and Discrete appurtenances can now be specified by projected area. a. Linear appurtenances that are defined by projected area can be referenced in the TRANSMISSION LINES table under TYPE of LINE by using the APPURTENANCE ID, prefixed by "#PA". b. Discrete appurtenances, including antennas, may now be defined by projected area and can be referenced in the DISCRETE APPURTENANCES table by using the APPURTENANCE ID, prefixed by "#PA". 4. A Design Temperature input box was added to the Main Project Properties dialogue box in order to facilitate analysis for a change in temperature when a loading temperature is specified in the new WIND LOADING table. 5. The WIND LOADING table has been reconfigured to allow the inclusion of the critical parameters of Temperature (TEMP), load factor for guy weight, and CONVERGENCE TOLERANCE used in the analysis of guyed towers. With this change, the user no longer needs to access and modify the .usg intermediate data file. 6. The user may attach documents to each project for future reference, using the staple symbol on the main screen.
