GUYMASTER Release Notes For version 4.0.5 as of October 30, 2013 This release corrects the following: 1. In TIA 222-G version, the effective yield stress for compact tubular sections is now augmented in keeping with Addendum 2. 2. During scrolling in the DISCRETE APPURTENANCES table, the drop down list that allows switching from "Position by Centre" to "Position by End" and vice-versa could disappear. This is now corrected with this release. 3. In the case of multiple discrete appurtenances at the same elevation, as in the case of platforms and certain antennas, in an effort to reduce the number of lines of concentrated loads, the total horizontal load is moved to the centre of gravity of this group of appurtenances and a compensating torsional moment is added at the centre of gravity as required by statics. This moment should be the difference between that about the centre of the tower and that caused by the lateral translation of the horizontal force to the centre of gravity. The calculations were adding instead of subtracting. For some reason this was not noticed until a user had introduced an unreasonably low value of unit weight for some of the discrete appurtenances, thus considerably changing the position of the centre of gravity.
